Three loops to choose from, on the desktop

Ask the desktop planner for a loop and it now brings back up to three: one in the direction you chose and one on each side of it. Each comes with its figures and a badge where it stands out, and the map shows them all so you can compare before you pick.

A card for each loop

Under Generate loop, each loop has a card: its heading, length and time, how much of it is unpaved, how much rides the same road twice, how much it climbs, and the server's verdict on it. A loop can earn a badge: Best match (closest to the length you asked for), Most unpaved, Least ridden twice or Most climbing. A badge only appears when the loops really differ on that number.

Compare on the map

The loop in your direction goes on the plan straight away. The others are grey lines with a chip each, like the alternatives of an A → B route. Point at a card, a chip or a line and that loop lights up while the others fade. Click it, or press Enter on its card, and it takes the first one's place on the plan; Undo brings the first one back. ← and → move along the cards and show each loop without choosing it.

When there are fewer

Where the roads are few, two headings can end on the same loop, and the planner says so: "Only two loops here: the NE loop repeated loop 1." A loop the server could not finish within ten seconds is named the same way. Around Bergen at 200 km you will often get one or two loops; around Siena, three quite different ones.
