The weather timeline, on the desktop map

The rider app's weather timeline is now on the desktop planner's map: the rain radar of the last hours, our own nowcast, then the forecast, with the forecast's wind gusts, temperature and visibility. Same frames, same colours, same names as on the phone, and your stops are marked on it.

One row, one toolbar

Weather timeline is a row of the layer list, where the app has it, after live traffic. Switch it on (or press W) and pick what to see: rain, wind gusts, temperature or visibility, one at a time. The row's legend says what the colours mean, and for rain the marks of snow, sleet, freezing rain, thunder, hail and fog.

The frames are scrubbed on a Weather toolbar along the map's bottom edge. Like every toolbar of the window it snaps to any edge. Its track is tinted by where each frame comes from: radar in blue, our nowcast in amber, the forecast in violet. A tick marks the newest radar frame, and beside the track are the frame's time and how far it is from now.

Your stops on the track

With a route planned, the track carries a mark at the departure and at each stop's arrival, on the same clock as the stop list: your Leave at and your pace. Click a mark and the map shows the weather at that hour.

From the keyboard

W puts the focus on the track. The arrow keys step the frames, Home and End go to the ends, Page Up and Page Down jump from one stop's arrival to the next, and Space plays the frames.
