Links in the Library: browse what riders share, and keep a copy
The desktop's Library has a new entry on its rail, Links. It leads to the catalogue of what signed-in riders may see, and to the reference data the planner knows: curvy roads, dirt passages, MTB trails, beaches and the trail library. Whatever you find there, Save to library keeps a copy of it.
The catalogue, in the Library itself
Published catalogue opens beside the list, with the controls the library already has: words, This map area or Everywhere, a chip per kind with its count, a list or a table. Dirt passages, rider signals and your own items are in it today; curvy roads and places will follow as their sources are indexed.
Each record is drawn as the box it lies in, in the colour of its kind. Open one and the map draws it as itself: a passage's ways, a road's line, a place's point.
Save to library
A record opens in the column beside the map with its figures and Save to library. A dirt passage becomes a line in your library, its ways joined in order and kept apart where they do not meet; a curvy road becomes a curve, a place a bookmark. The copy remembers where it came from, so the record then says In your library, and saving it twice is not possible. Select several records and save them together.
Your own items are already yours and open in the Library. Rider signals are shown and not copied: they change as riders report.
The reference data
The other rows of Links open their tool in the planner, where every card has Save to library. The dirt passage card has it now too, and it knows the copy you made from the catalogue: the same passage is the same record wherever you saved it.
