Import and export in the Library, with a look before you save
The desktop's Library has a place for bringing files in and taking items out. Drop GPX and GeoJSON files on it, or anywhere on the map, and see on the map what they will become before anything is saved.
A look first
Import on the Library's rail (or the A key) opens Import and export. Drop several files at once, or choose them. Each is read in your browser and shown beside the map in Preview: what will be created, dashed on the map: its name, the tags you want to add, the category it becomes, its length and its points. Point at a row and its line lights up. Nothing reaches your library until you press Save.
Several tracks in one file
A ride over three days often comes as one GPX with a track per day. When the tracks run end to end like that, the file becomes one item, its tracks joined in order. A file of separate trails, such as a TET country file, becomes an item per trail instead, each with its own name, never one line jumping from trail to trail. A switch on the row changes it before you save. Waypoints in the file become waypoints linked to the line.
Already there?
If a file's line is one you already keep, the same area and the same length, the preview says already in your library, offers to open it, and leaves it unticked. The same file dropped twice is caught too. After saving, Move to the trash undoes an import.
Out again
Choose the selection, or everything the list shows, and a format: GPX, GeoJSON or KML. You get one file with every item in it, including the items you imported, which the per-item export could not write before. A web address of a file can be fetched too; for now it is saved at once and shown afterwards, with the same undo.
